Important Vehicle Fluids to Pay Attention To

Here at MotorWorld Toyota, our dedication to our customers doesn’t end when you drive off of the lot. Keeping your new Toyota vehicle in pristine condition takes time and effort. Our service center works with drivers to keep their vehicles regularly maintained.

A mechanic can determine when it’s time to change your car’s fluids. However, there are times when you might want to check your fluid levels yourself. Here’s what you need to keep an eye on.

Engine Oil

First, remove the dipstick. Wipe it clean and reinsert it so you can get a fresh gauge. The range that you’re looking for is marked on the dipstick. If the oil level is too low, you can replenish the supply yourself or you can take your car to an auto shop.

Check your owner’s manual to learn how often you should change the oil.

Brake Fluid

Brake fluid is often easy to check because it’s normally stored in a clear container. If you notice that the level is too low, you should speak with a mechanic. You might be dealing with a leak.

Coolant

Anyone who has ever driven a car without air conditioning during a hot summer understands the importance of coolant. You should be able to check the level easily.

Power Steering Fluid

Power steering makes even large vehicles easy to maneuver. If your car needs more power steering fluid, you’ll notice that it becomes much harder to steer.

The MotorWorld Toyota service center is committed to taking care of the Toyota cars in the Mountain Top, PA area. Our highly experienced staff knows how to keep your car running smoothly. We’re conveniently located at 150 MotorWorld Dr.
